From
the wondrous sweeping coast of
the old Mexican town of San José
del Cabo, to the once small and
sleepy fishing village of Cabo
San Lucas at the tip of the Baja
Peninsula, here the crystal
clear azure waters of the Sea of
Cortez gently lap on brilliant
white sandy beaches, spangled
with dazzling resorts, hotels,
condominiums and home sites.
Today,
Cabo San Lucas remains a
rustic resort town with
restaurants in a wide range of
tastes and expense. Gift shops
sell a wide variety of fine
apparel, Mexican arts and
crafts, decorative items, even
T-shirts and mementos for the
shopper. Luxurious yachts are
moored alongside fishing craft
in the 300-boat
Marina. Sumptuous resort
hotels line the beaches on both
the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of
Cortez that meet at the
magnificent rocky sentinel known

and condominiums. Cabo San Lucas

San José del Cabo's
International Airport is the
gateway to Los Cabos, served by
major American and Mexican
airlines. The nearby historic
town was founded by the Spanish
in 1730. Many original buildings
stand alongside eclectic hotels,
restaurants and beach front
condominiums. Lush tropical
growth yield coconuts, mangos
and other tropical fruit. Here
begins the pearl-like string of
velvety green
golf courses, resorts and
home sites, which line the
highway all the way from San
José del Cabo to Cabo San Lucas.
